Frequently Asked Questions.

Everything you need to know about your journey with Breathawear.

General

The focused Breathawear mobile experience provides visual guided-breathing practice, a local Bet You Can’t challenge against a simulated NPC rival, and, for signed-in users, a clearly labeled simulated phone-to-web breath mirror. The challenge is unranked, unsaved, and has no wagers or prizes. Guests can keep their 500 most recent completed guided practices on their phone, while signed-in users can sync eligible guided-session history to the web dashboard.
No. Guided practice, simulated breath, the local NPC challenge, and the private simulated phone-to-web mirror work without external hardware. The mirror is not a physiological measurement. The public App Store and Google Play app does not scan for or connect to a wearable and requests no Bluetooth, nearby-device, or location permission. Secure wearable pairing is planned for a later release.

Practice & Progress

The app records completed guided practices, including their duration, selected pattern, cycles presented, and guide pace. The 500 most recent completed guest practices stay on that phone. Signed-in history can sync to the web dashboard.
Not in the current production release. Bet You Can’t uses a simulated NPC rival on your phone; it is not human matchmaking. Grove invitations and community practice are being prepared for a later release.
Nothing is lost or penalized. Resume whenever you are ready, and your history will continue from your next recorded practice.

Technical

Guided practice, simulated breath, the local NPC challenge, and guest history work on the phone without an internet connection. Account sign-in, cloud sync, and the private browser dashboard require internet access.
Guest practice history stays on that phone. Signed-in account and eligible guided-session records are sent over encrypted network connections and protected by account-based access controls. The simulated mirror uses a private same-account live channel; its sparse timing messages are ephemeral and are not stored as raw waveform rows. The public Store app requests no Bluetooth, nearby-device, location, Apple Health, or Health Connect access. No system can guarantee absolute security; our Privacy Policy explains the current data paths and choices.
