Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Breathawear, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and use the service only in compliance with applicable law.

Breathawear provides breathing awareness, practice guidance, and wellness information. It is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not ignore medical advice or delay seeking care because of information in the service. Stop a practice and seek appropriate help if you feel unwell.

Guided-practice cues are timing prompts, not measurements of your breathing. Features may change, be interrupted, or be unavailable. The app distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play does not offer wearable connectivity or measured biofeedback.

The signed-in phone-to-web mirror is also simulated, not a physiological measurement. It uses authenticated private Supabase Realtime Broadcast to exchange low-rate simulated timing and control heartbeats. The browser recreates the waveform locally; the live packets are ephemeral and are not written as raw waveform rows or practice-history entries. A completed guided-practice summary may sync separately under the ordinary account-sync behavior.

Bet You Can't in the focused mobile experience is a local practice challenge against a simulated NPC rival. It has no human matchmaking, wager, prize, durable ranking, or saved result. Its temporary score is for practice and is not a medical measurement.

A separately distributed internal device-preview build may allow a supervised tester to explicitly scan for and select a nearby Breathawear prototype while the app is in the foreground. BLE v1 does not authenticate the device or owner and does not require pairing or link encryption. Use that preview only with your own nearby prototype.

The preview subscribes to breathing-related motion but sends no Breathawear control or firmware-update commands. Device discovery details and samples remain on the phone for the active preview and are not saved, uploaded, mirrored to the web, or used for human or ranked play. Android 6 through 11 may call the system permission required for Bluetooth discovery Location; Breathawear does not read, save, or upload location.

BLE v1 is not approved as the public store hardware protocol. A build containing this internal preview is blocked from store submission until authenticated BLE v2 is ready or a deliberate security exception is documented and approved.

Breathawear and its software, designs, branding, and service content are owned by Breathawear or its licensors. You retain ownership of content you create. You grant Breathawear a limited license to host, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate and improve the features you use.

You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, nonpayment for a paid feature, or a material violation of these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without warranties of uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose. Breathawear is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages to the extent such limitations are permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
